Sickle Cell Trait occurs in about 1 in 13 people of African descent. That means you or someone you know likely has sickle trait whether they know it or not. As research continues, we learn more about health implications related to sickle trait and we now know more about potential kidney damage in individuals with trait. Sinch March is Kidney Health Awareness Month and were talking about “Kidney Health for Trait Warriors”. This session should be shared far and wide, in or out of the sickle cell community!

Living SickleSMART virtual education series is part of our Community Education & Awareness Program and is intended for all audiences, specifically those who live with, care for, or are concerned with the outcomes of individuals living with sickle cell disease.

*This will be a LIVE presentation via Zoom. Attendees are invited to participate in open discussions throughout the presentation.
